Besides its exceptional sailing and boating opportunities, Juneau also offers outdoor enthusiasts kayaking, dogsledding, biking, hiking, and fishing. Winter enthusiasts will enjoy snowboarding and downhill, cross-country and heli-skiing. The Juneau Yacht Club is proud to host a variety of sail racing events, providing something for every taste: The "Spirit of Adventure Race", a 200-mile sailboat race around Admiralty Island National Monument, is the longest inland sailboat race on the west coast of North America, while the Juneau Cup Challenge is a series of 4 uniquely-handicapped weekend races for the family cruiser, an
